He is the recipient of the 2016-2017 Stan Richards Faculty Fellowship in Advertising Creativity Award. Today, many of his former students are kicking ass at the world’s top creative departments, including Mother, Droga5, 72 and sunny, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, and more.

No matter what wacky or weird concept I would bring to a portfolio or copywriting class, Chad would steer me in the right direction to make it an interesting campaign and challenge me to stand up for my ideas.

His approach is cut-throat, not only pushing me to think outside the box freshly and innovatively but to invent a new realm entirely.

Chad prepared me for the realities of advertising before I ever stepped foot in an agency. I am still discovering ways that he was equipping me to handle being a creative in the industry today.
— P.C.
He was actually more of a tough creative director than a professor, and consistently and constantly pushed me to work harder, beat my own ideas and never make anything unoriginal. Because of him, I am never satisfied until an idea is bulletproof and as close to perfect as possible.
— E.W.
I enjoyed learning from him not only because of his expertise within the advertising field, but also because of his funny, honest and encouraging nature.

He was very giving in his time and never stopped helping us even long after our graduation. Chad wrote a very kind email to my current employer that landed me an amazing job in San Francisco.
